In the new journey of building a community with a shared future for mankind, establishing China's image as a major country and enabling countries around the world to objectively and truly understand China is an important issue in implementing the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Deeply studying the coverage and image construction of China by the "Western voices" represented by mainstream American media in specific historical stages is the key to responding to Western public opinion strategies. Based on the frame work analysis and qualitative content analysis method, this paper takes 64 texts of the New York Times from February24 to Jume 10, 2022 as the research object to study the dominant framework of Chinese public opinion when reporting the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the attitude towards China contained in it. Through framework theory and qualitative research, it has been shown that authoritative media in the United States, in their reporting processhave presented a Chinese image of "safeguarding peace, forming an alliance between China and Russia, andChina's profitable rise" to varying degrees, starting from their own interests and national interests. Finally, it comes to the conclusion that the four aspects of improving China's national image in the context of theRussia-Ukraine conflict are conducive to spreading China's voice, reducing false propaganda by foreign media and realizing the true construction of China's national image.
